RAMALLAH, November 8, 2009 (WAFA)- The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) had 0.42% increase in September 2009 compared  to August 2009, it is   reached to 112.40 September, compared to 111.93 in August 2009 Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said.

It added the results indicated that there was a 0.42% increase in the industrial production index in September 2009 compared  to August 2009 ( January 2009: base month).

PCBS analysis of Industrial Production Index developments for this month indicated increases in the following major groups: Manufacture of furniture by 32.35%; Manufacture of textiles by 19.43%; Publishing, printing and reproduction by 14.37%; Manufacture of wearing apparel by13.10%; Manufacture of wood and its products by 6.46%; Mining and quarrying by 3.73%;  Manufacture of other equipments     3.24%.
