GAZA, April 4, 2006, (WAFA)- Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud al-Zahhar, met Tuesday, in Gaza, with the Chinese Representative to the Palestinian National Authority, Mr. Yang Wei Go.

During a press conference, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, praised the role of China in supporting the Palestinian people, and described the meeting as "fruitful."

Dr. Zahar revealed that he would visit China next month as a part of a tour in Asia.

Dr. Zahar reiterated that the Palestinian people is in need for more foreign and Arab intervention to rebuild what was destroyed by the Israeli occupation.

The Chinese Representative told reporters that he briefed to Dr. Zahar the Chinese supporting position to the Palestinian people and their just question.

He reiterated that China respects the democratic choice of the Palestinian people, asserting that his country is still stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the Palestinians.

Mr. Yang Wei Go told reporters that the Chinese Government is so concerned in pushing the peace process, in the middle east, forward and supports all parties for their efforts to achieve peace.
