JENIN, March 7, 2004 (WAFA) -Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arbitrarily closed Sunday all roads, including turn-off ways, linking Ramallah and Al-Beireh Governorate with the West Bank cities and Jerusalem, eyewitnesses said.... Witnesses added that IOF held hundreds of civilians and vehicles near Israeli Ofra colony, north of Ramallah, and prevented them from crossing.... Such Israeli brutal acts forced many citizens to follow sidetracks around the Qalandya checkpoint, south of Al-Beireh City.... "Israeli soldiers held us (students), employees and old men and women, at the checkpoint, for several hours, disallowing us to go to schools and works", a student at the checkpoint said.... Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers arrested today Haytham Khleif 17 of al-Khleifat locality in Bethlehem.... Eyewitnesses told WAFA that dozens of Israeli armoured vehicles and troops rolled, early morning, into al-Khleifat area and besieged Khleif"s house, stormed it and damaged its contents, after forcing its residents out of it under rain and severe cold, then they arrested Khleif and took him to an unknown place.... In jenin, (IOF) dynamited, early Sunday a 2-storey civilian house in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, eyewitnesses said.... They confirmed to WAFA that seven military armoured vehicles stormed the village of Khirbet Anza in the suburb of the city and besieged the house owned by Jawdat Ubaid shortly before blowing it up.... Ubaid told reporters that the IOF held Derrar Khader, 35, after the soldiers broke into his house, next door to Ubaid"s, adding that the soldiers searched into Khader"s house and caused severe damage to its contents....
