IOF Arrests 5 in Bethlehem, Escalates Aggressions on Nablus


BETHLEHEM March 6, 2004 (WAFA)- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested today five Palestinian civilians in Bethlehem and imposed a strict curfew on Nablus, witnesses and Palestinian security sources said.... Palestinian Security Sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers backed by tanks, armoured vehicles and jeeps rumbled into Dihaisheh refugee camp, al-Doha and al-Karkafa neighborhoods of the city, broke into some houses, and arrested five civilians.... "Israeli soldiers stormed, early morning, several houses in the camp and arrested three civilians," eyewitness from Dihaisheh camp told WAFA.... Two other civilians were arrested in al-Karkafa and al-Doha villages, security sources said.... Meanwhile, IOF imposed today morning a curfew on the village of Tel, southeast of Nablus.... Eyewitnesses told WAFA, in a telephone call, that IOF rolled into the village and imposed a curfew.... "They thrust into the village under a barrage of heavy fire, terrified our children, and imposed a tight curfew", witnesses said.... In the meantime, Israeli military jeeps incurred into Rafedia neighbourhood of Nablus and prevented students and employees from reaching their schools and works, WAFA reporter said.... Moreover, Israeli soldiers, stationed at Beit Foriek checkpoint, east of Nablus, prevented tens of students, children, labourers and old men and women from leaving or entering the village, security sources said....
