RAMALLAH, Tuesday, December 31, 2019 (WAFA) – Fatah movement, headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, marked today 55 years for its launch as a national movement fighting for the liberation of Palestine.
Hundreds of Fatah activists rallied in the center of Ramallah, hoisting the yellow Fatah banner.
Fatah deputy chairman Mahmoud Aloul addressed the crowds saying that the price Fatah had paid over 55 years of struggle was huge. Nevertheless, he added, Fatah refused to accept any deal less than returning full rights for the Palestinian people.
“When Fatah was launched, it was described by some as the revolution of the impossible and it cannot endure. But it has endured and will continue to endure because it counts on the will of the fighting Palestinian people.”
Similar launch rallies were also held in other West Bank cities and towns.
