Woman, journalist among 8 Palestinians Israeli army detains in West Bank

 

RAMALLAH, Monday, June 24, 2019 (WAFA) – The Israeli army detained eight Palestinians during raids across the occupied West Bank early today, including a woman and a journalist, said the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).

It said the army detained Kifah Ahmad Bisharat after a raid at her home in the town of Tammoun in the north of the West Bank. Bisharat is a mother of two children and sister of two Palestinians killed by the Israeli army and a third who is incarcerated in Israel.

Amer Tawfiq, a journalist from the town of Dora in the south of the West Bank, was also detained in an army raid at his home, along with another town resident.

The army also detained three Palestinians from the Ramallah district and two from the Bethlehem district, said the PPS.
