GAZA, Monday, March 9, 2020 (WAFA) – Medical sources in Gaza confirmed today that two more victims of the fire at Nusseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip have died of their wounds, bringing the total number of fatalities to 13.
Osama Hasan al-Banna, 50, and Hanafi Mahmoud Abu al-Leil, 41, have died of their wounds, said the medical sources.
A large gas tank exploded at a bakery in Nusseirat camp on Thursday, causing big fire that engulfed the entire area, damaged many buildings and destroyed several vehicles.
Ten people were killed immediately. At least 56 others were injured, including 14 serious and 8 critical. The rest were moderate or light.
Some of the wounded were rushed to hospitals in the West Bank for treatment.
The fire is thought to have started from a gas canister explosion at a bakery in the Nusseirat refugee camp before the blaze tore through nearby shops, factories and cars parked along the street.
