JENIN, September 19, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists today cut down 30 guava trees in the village of Khirbet Firasin near the town of Ya'bad, west of Jenin.

Local sources said the colonists cut down the trees, owned by local Palestinian farmer Khaled Mohammad Amarnah.

The attack comes amid an ongoing escalation in colonist attacks targeting Palestinian agricultural land and property in the Jenin area. On August 28, colonists cut down and damaged around 450 fruit-bearing guava trees and destroyed parts of irrigation networks and fencing in Khirbet Firasin. The landowner at the time said the same plot had previously been targeted, with olive trees uprooted.

Earlier this month, colonists also released livestock into Palestinian olive groves in nearby Arraba and assaulted and threatened residents with weapons when they attempted to protect their land.
