TULKARM, September 19, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint on Saturday beneath Jabara Bridge at the southern entrance to the city of Tulkarm.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers stopped vehicles leaving the city, searched them, and obstructed traffic. Earlier today, Israeli forces completely closed the iron gates installed beneath the bridge. The closure lasted several hours before the gates were reopened.
The measures come amid tightened Israeli military restrictions at the entrances to Tulkarm and its towns, which have been subjected to an Israeli assault for the 601st consecutive day, restricting the movement of Palestinians and vehicles.
