Israeli forces detain eight Palestinians in southern Hebron

HEBRON, September 19, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces today detained eight Palestinians from the village of Ad-Deqaiqa, in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron.

Anti-colonization activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that the detainees were Nasser Ahmad Nasser al-Najadeh, Abdul Rahman Mohammad al-Najadeh, Suleiman Mahmoud Kaabneh, Mohammad Suleiman al-Najadeh, Yousef Ahmad Mohammad Kaabneh, Mohammad Raad Amer, Odeh Salem al-Najadeh, and his son Salem.

He said the detentions followed an attack by Israeli colonists on Palestinians and their attempt to steal livestock.

Earlier today, colonists cut the main water line supplying the village, depriving around 700 residents of water.

In a separate incident, colonists attacked the home of Khairy Abu Tuffah in Khallet al-Hummus, south of Yatta, assaulting his family and foreign solidarity activists.
