TUBAS, September 19, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces withheld three Palestinians on Saturday in the al-Ras al-Ahmar area, southeast of Tubas.
Abdullah Basharat, head of the Atoof and al-Ras al-Ahmar Village Council, said that Israeli soldiers detained three Palestinians while they were grazing their livestock in the area, stressing that the soldiers threatened to detain anyone found there.
The area has been subjected for months to extensive land leveling to construct a 22-kilometer-long military road, 50 meters wide, extending from the Ain Shibli checkpoint southeast of Tubas to the Tayasir checkpoint east of Tubas, passing through parts of the Atoof Plain and al-Ras al-Ahmar.
