HEBRON, Tuesday, July 30, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday overnight detained eight Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
PPS confirmed in a press release that Israeli forces rounded up four Palestinians from the southern West Bank district of Hebron.
Security sources identified one of the four detainees as a resident of Hebron city, another as a resident of Yatta town, another as a resident of al-Arrub refugee camp and the fourth as a resident of Beit Ummar town.
Meanwhile, PPS said that four Palestinians were detained from the northern West Bank district of Jenin.
Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
