RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 30, 2019 (WAFA) – Today’s temperature is set to rise and approach 5°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to an increase in the heat stress, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Hot to very hot are thus expected in daytime and relatively hot to mild conditions in nighttime. Wind is northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 23°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 22°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 43°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 25°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

PMD expects a slight rise in Wednesday’s temperature which approaches 6°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to hot conditions in various districts and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime.

Mild conditions are expected in mountainous districts and relatively hot conditions in other districts in nighttime

Thursday’s temperature is set to slightly rise by 1°C with unseasonably hot conditions in daytime, particularly in the Jordan Valley, and mild conditions in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts.

PMD expects Friday’s temperature to drop and approach 2°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to a relief in the heat stress.
