JERICHO, Sunday, July 28, 2019 (WAFA) - Saeb Erekat, secretary general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said that the occupation power, Israel, has effectively destroyed and ended all signed agreements.

He said during a meeting with  a delegation of American church members and American and European university professors in Jericho, that Israel attempts to impose new terms of reference to entrench and consolidate the occupation as well as attempts to replace the principle of the two states on the 1967 borders with acquiescence and accepting the continuation of occupation; thus legislating Apartheid.

Erekat stressed the adherence of the Palestine Liberation Organization to international law, international legitimacy, and the Arab peace initiative, as reflected in the vision presented by President Mahmoud Abbas to the UN Security Council on 20 February 2018.

The PLO official presented the two delegations with a detailed and broad explanation of the current situation on the ground due to the continuation of the [Israeli] occupation and its crimes, particularly the demolition of houses, ethnic cleansing, land confiscation, field executions, siege and closures, denials of all signed agreements, and insistence on dictates and the imposition of a fait accompli on the ground with the full and direct support of the US administration.
