RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 25, 2019 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas headed an emergency meeting held at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah to make important decisions in response to all Israeli challenges and violations.
The meeting will discuss the Israeli authorities’ deduction of PA tax revenues, continued settlement activities, and demolitions of Palestinian homes, the latest of which was the demolition of 10 buildings in Sur Bahir, occupied East Jerusalem.
A moment of silence in mourning of Tunisian president, Beji Caid Essebsi, was observed at the beginning of the meeting. Abbas extended his condolences to the people of Tunisia and the Arab and Islamic nations over Essebsi’s death, announcing his attention to travel to Tunisia to participate in the president’s funeral procession.
