RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 25, 2019 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas offered his condolences to the Tunisian government and people over the death of Tunisian president, Beji Caid Essebsi.

At the start of the leadership meeting at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, President Abbas said that he will be travelling to Tunisia to attend the funeral of President Essebsi.

Abbas announced three-day mourning and ordered flags to be flown at half mast to mourn the death of Essebsi.

Abbas said that the Arab and Islamic nations; including Palestine, Tunisia, and the whole humanity, have lost a leader, a fighter, a brother and a friend, extending his deepest condolences to the Tunisian people, the family of the deceased and to the Arab and Islamic nations.
