RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 25, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is unseasonably warm in daytime and mild in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts, with steady temperature which remains 3°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 29°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Friday’s temperature is set to slightly drop and approach 2°C above the seasonal average with relatively hot to hot conditions in various districts.
An additional slight drop of temperature is expected on Saturday, paving the way to a slight relief in the heat stress.
No significant change is expected in the weather conditions on Sunday.
People are warned against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight especially during the peak hours of the day between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, as well as against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown.
