MOSCOW, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 (WAFA) – The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned today the Israeli demolition of Palestinian buildings in Wadi al-Hummus area in the occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Baher, saying it violates international law and undermines prospects for a two-state solution.

The Israeli authorities demolished yesterday 10 residential buildings in Wadi al-Hummus, which led to the displacement of 24 Palestinians, most of them children, who became homeless.

"Such acts by the Israeli side in the occupied Palestinian territories are illegal in international law and undermine the prospects of a two-state solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," the ministry said.

Moscow called on Israel to "reconsider the demolition decision and refrain from such destructive steps in the future."
