RAMALLAH, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is hot to very hot and dry in daytime and mild in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts, with a rise of temperature which approaches 4°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Wednesday’s temperature is set to slightly drop by 1°C along with muggy conditions in daytime and mild conditions in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts.
No significant change in the weather is expected on Thursday and Friday.
People are warned against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight especially during the peak hours of the day between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, as well as against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown.
