RAMALLAH, Sunday, July 14, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy and warm with a slight rise in temperature, to be slightly above its seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are northwesterly, light to moderate and active at times. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 19°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 28°C and a low of 18°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 39°C and a low of 24°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A slight rise in temperature is expected for Sunday to become slightly above the average.
No change in temperature is expected for Monday. However another rise in temperature is expected for Tuesday to become 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above the annual average, said the PMD.
Temperature rises further on Wednesday, approaching 9 degrees Celsius above annual average. Therefore, extremely hot weather conditions are expected.
On Wednesday, people are warned against direct exposure to sunlight especially during the peak hours of the day, between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. People are also warned against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown.
