JENIN, Friday, July 12, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday overnight detained three Palestinians at al-Hamra military checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley, said local sources.
Sources confirmed that Israeli forces manning al-Hamra checkpoint detained three Palestinians as the latter attempted to cross the checkpoint on their way to their hometown of Qabatia, south of Jenin.
The detainees were identified as members of Palestinian security forces.
Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
