RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 11, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is hot to very hot with another rise temperature which approaches 5°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly, light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 24°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 32°C and a low of 23°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 43°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 25°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

PMD expects Friday‘s temperature to remain 5°C above the seasonal average with hot to very hot and dry conditions in most districts in daytime and hot conditions in nighttime.

A relief is expected in the heat wave on Saturday and Sunday, paving the way to mild conditions in the mountains and relatively warm conditions in other districts.

PMD warns people of direct exposure to sun for long periods on Friday and Saturday, especially during peak hours between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and of the dangers of setting fire to dry grass.
