Israel releases PA minister after hours of detention

JERUSALEM, Sunday, June 30, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities released today the Palestinian Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Fadi Hadmi, hours after he was detained from his home in occupied Jerusalem.

Muhannad Jabara, Hadmi’s lawyer, said his arrest was the result of pressures practiced by the Israeli right wing on the Israeli government, after Hadmi engaged in a tour with the Chilean president in the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city.

Jabara said Israeli intelligence and police cops questioned Hadmi during his detention over alleged claims of violating the so-called Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, by accompanying the Chilean president in his tour.
