Light earthquake hits Palestinian territory

 

RAMALLAH, Saturday, June 29, 2019 (WAFA) – a 2.6 magnitude earthquake hit the Palestinian territory this morning without causing any damage, according to the Palestinian National Observatory for Earthquakes.

It said that around 8:43 a.m., a light earthquake hit the area between Ramallah and the village of Sinjil to the north of the city that registering 2.6 on the Richter scale and five kilometers deep in the ground.

It said people in the area and in some areas around Jerusalem felt it and that even though it was weak, people felt it because of its depth and spread of the waves to a larger area due to the type of terrain.
