RAMALLAH, Thursday, June 27, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is relatively hot in mountainous districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a slight drop of temperature which approaches 5°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Mild to relatively hot conditions are expected in nighttime. Wind is northwesterly to southwesterly, light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 30°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
PMD expects Friday’s temperature to significantly drop, paving the way to partially cloudy to clear and pleasant conditions in mountainous districts and relatively hot conditions in other districts in daytime. A relief is expected in the heat stress in the evening and nighttime.
Saturday’s temperature is set to remain steady with seasonably pleasant conditions in mountainous districts and relatively hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Mild conditions are expected in nighttime.
Sunday’s temperature is set to rise and approach 3°C above the average with partially cloudy and pleasant conditions in early morning hours. A relief is expected in the heat stress in the evening and nighttime.
PMD warns people against direct exposure to sunlight for long hours, particularly between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and setting fire to areas of dry grass.
