RAMALLAH, Monday, June 24, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is hot to very hot with a significant rise in temperature becoming 5°C above annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northwesterly, low to moderate and active at times. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Another rise in temperature is expected on Tuesday to reach 7°C above the average for this time of the year.
Similar weather conditions are likely on Wednesday.
Hot to very weather conditions continue for Thursday despite a drop in temperature which remains 5°C above the annual average.
People are warned against direct exposure to sunlight during the peak hours of the day between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
