RAMALLAH, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday detained eight Palestinians from a number of West Bank districts, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
Israeli forces detained four Palestinians from the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp.
Meanwhile, Israeli military vehicles raided Balaa town, east of Tulkarem, where soldiers detained two Palestinians.
PPS said a Palestinian was detained from Awarta town, southeast of Nablus, and another from Ramallah district.
Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian homes across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
