RAMALLAH, Monday, January 28, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Monday is expected to be partially cloudy to cloudy and cold to very cold with a significant drop in temperature as the region is affected by a low pressure, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Rain, along with thunderstorms and hail at times, is expected during morning hours on most areas.
Wind is southwesterly to westerly, active, with strong gust at times. Sea waves are high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 9°C and a low of 6°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 8°C and a low of 5°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 10°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
PMD also predicted weather on Tuesday to be partially cloudy to clear. A significant rise in temperature is expected. A chance of scattered rain showers is expected on some northern areas.
Clear and mild conditions are expected for Wednesday with rise in temperature.
Weather on Thursday is expected to be partially cloudy to clear with a significant drop in temperature.
PMD warned citizen against formation of floods in low areas and of low visibility due to formation of fog and low clouds, strong winds and slippery roads.
