RAMALLAH, Friday, January 25, 2019 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas received on Friday evening a delegation representing the General Union of Palestinian Women.

The delegation congratulated the President on Palestine‘s winning of a UNGA vote making it head of the Group of 77 and China for 2019.

During the meeting, President Abbas said the State of Palestine is determined to join all international organizations, treaties and conventions in order to protect the rights of the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and independence.

He pointed out that the State of Palestine is a leading country in the protection of women‘s rights and equality between all components of society.
