HEBRON, Thursday, January 24, 2019 (WAFA) – The Israeli army apparently under pressure from settlers forced employees of the Palestinian municipality of Hebron in the south of the West Bank to stop work on a main access road in the city and impounded vehicles used in the construction.
Hebron Mayor Tayseer Abu Sneineh denounced the Israeli decision taken by settlement security and Israeli forces, explaining that work for the rehabilitation of the two-kilometer long road, considered one of the main access roads to Hebron from its northern end, started three months.
He did not give a reason for the Israeli action, which he believed is intended to delay the work of the municipality on that road.
