GAZA, Sunday, January 13, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli fighter jets on Saturday night carried out airstrikes on multiple locations across the Gaza Strip, causing fire to erupt in some of the sites bombed, but with no human casualties, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondent said warplanes bombed at least two sites in Gaza City, in addition to a site in the town of Beit Lahiya, north of Gaza, and another site in the city of Khan Younis, south of the Strip.
Israeli artillery also reportedly hit a location near the Martyrs Cemetery east of Gaza City, causing minor damages.
The airstrikes resulted in damages of various levels to the sites bombed, but did not result in any casualties.
The Israeli military claimed that the attacks were in response to the firing of a rocket from Gaza which landed in an open field in southern Israel.
