Israeli court orders release of 21 Fatah activists from Jerusalem under strict conditions

JERUSALEM, Thursday, November 29, 2018 (WAFA) – An Israeli court in Jerusalem on Thursday ruled to release 21 Fatah activists from occupied East Jerusalem under strict conditions, said Nasser Qous, head of the Jerusalem office of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Qous said that the detainees were placed under house arrest for five days and banned from entering the occupied West Bank for 14 days. They also have to post a $270 bail, another $1340 bail by a third party and sign a personal bail of $1340.

Israeli police arrested on Sunday the Palestinian Authority’s Jerusalem governor, Adnan Ghaith, and dozens of Fatah activists.

PPS attorney Mufeed al-Sheikh said 11 more Fatah activists, including Ghaith, arrested on the same day, remain in custody awaiting trial.
