RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 15, 2018 (WAFA) – Jihad Nakhleh, a photographer with the Palestinian news agency, WAFA, died on Thursday at a hospital inside Israel after a long battle against cancer. He was 45 years old.

WAFA mourned Nakhleh, born in 1973 in Jalazoun refugee camp near Ramallah, who joined the agency in 1997 to work as photographer.

Nakhleh was diagnosed with cancer in 2011 and has been getting treatment since then at hospitals inside and outside Palestine. He was admitted to hospital on Wednesday after serious deterioration in his health until he was pronounced dead early Thursday.

He is survived by a wife, a son and a daughter.
