GAZA, September 16, 2018 (WAFA) – A Palestinian teenager succumbed to his wounds late Saturday evening almost a month after he was injured by Israeli gunfire during the Great March of Return protests at Gaza border, said WAFA correspondent.

Medics at Gaza European Hospital announced that Suhaib Abdel-Salam Kashef, 16, succumbed to his serious injuries he had sustained after being shot by Israeli gunfire as while partaking in the Great March of Return protests at Gaza border.   

With his death, the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza by Israeli gunfire since March 30, the start of the Gaza border protests, reached 178.

The Great March of Return protests began on March 30, which coincided with the 42nd anniversary of the Land Day, marking the day Israeli forces killed six Palestinians during protests against land confiscation in 1976.
