JORDAN VALLEY, May 14, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces held dozens of teachers at the Hamra military checkpoint on Wednesday, preventing them from reaching schools in the Jordan Valley.

Azmi Balawneh, the Director of Education in Tubas and the Jordan Valley, reported that the occupation forces held approximately 100 teachers at the Hamra military checkpoint and preventing them from reaching their schools in the Jordan Valley.

He explained that this significantly disrupts the educational process, as teachers are repeatedly denied access.

The checkpoints leading to the Jordan Valley have been subjected to repeated military closures for the past two years, impacting all aspects of life.
