RAMALLAH, September 5, 2018 (WAFA) – Demolishing Khan al-Ahmar village and displacing its residents is ethnic cleansing, government spokesman Yousef al-Mahmoud said on Wednesday.

Commenting on the Israeli High Court decision allowing the Israeli military to demolish the Palestinian village within a week and to displace its residents without allowing them to return to their lands, Mahmoud said in a statement that this policy aims at forcing the original people of this land to leave their land and homes and therefore it is an actual implementation of ethnic cleansing.

He said the international community should shoulder its responsibility toward the Palestinian people and put a stop to attempts by the Israeli occupation authorities to undermine international efforts to bring peace, security and stability to this region.
