Weather: Hot wave for next few days

 

RAMALLAH, September 1, 2018 (WAFA) – A hot wave is expected for Palestine in the coming days with a rise in temperature through the middle of the coming week to reach five degrees Celsius above the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Partially cloudy to clear skies are expected at night. Wind is northwesterly, light to moderate, active at times and sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho and the Dead Sea, temperature is expected to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 27°C and in the Jordan Valley, a high of 40°C and a low of 25°C. In Gaza and the coastal area, a high of 31°C and a low of 25°C are expected.

PMD expects weather on Sunday through Tuesday to remain the same with temperature 5°C above the seasonal average.
