RAMALLAH, August 28, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli forces released on Tuesday WAFA photographer Baha Nasr after holding him in detention for several hours.

The forces detained Nasr while covering attempt by Jewish settlers to take over land in the Ramallah area village of Ras Karkar. The army gave cover to the settlers‘ takeover of the Palestinian land.

When Palestinian residents of Ras Karkar attempted to protest the settlers‘ infringement on their land, the army attacked them and the journalists covering the event and arrested four people, including the WAFA photographer and a mayor of a nearby village.

The soldiers assaulted Nasr and beat him on the head and body before taking him to a detention center in the occupied West Bank only to release him several hours later.
