RAMALLAH, August 28, 2018 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas received at his office in Ramallah on Tuesday a delegation of Israeli academics headed by Ely Alon.

Abbas told his guests that the Palestinian side is committed to a just and comprehensive peace based on international resolutions and the two-state solution despite all obstacles and difficulties placed by the Israeli government in the way of achieving peace.

He stressed the important role the youth can play in peace making, stressing the right of the future generations to live in freedom and peace and away from hatred, violence and occupation.

Ari Shoani, director of the Peace and Security Association in Israel, said the ill-fated Nation-State law is bad for the Israelis before the Palestinians and should be cancelled.

The meeting was organized by the Committee to Communicate with the Israeli Society, a department in the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) headed by Mohammad Madani.
