NABLUS, August 28, 2018 (WAFA) – Thousands of Jewish Israeli settlers Tuesday forced their way into Joseph’s Tomb in the northern West Bank city of Nablus under heavy Israeli military protection provoking confrontations with Palestinian residents of the city, according to sources.
Israeli media reported that about 3000 settlers accompanied by the Israeli Construction and Housing Minister Yoav Galant and head of Settlements Council in the West Bank Yossi Dagan broke into Joseph’s Tomb to hold Jewish rituals.
Palestinian security sources told WAFA that residents clashed with the settlers and soldiers, resulting in three youths getting injured and moved to Rafidia Hospital.
Others suffered from suffocation due to inhaling tear gas that was fired at them in large quantities by Israeli soldiers during the clashes.
