RAMALLAH, August 15, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli general security service continued its campaign against Palestinian journalists in the occupied territories with the detention on Wednesday of yet another Palestinian journalist, according to reports.

The security forces detained Palestine TV reporter Ali Dar Ali after raiding his home in the Ramallah-area village of Burham.

Dar Ali is the seventh Palestinian journalist detained in the last two weeks, even though some of those detained were later released after undergoing about one week of interrogation.

Released journalists said that the security services brought volumes of their work to prove that anything they say could be considered incitement to justify their detention and imprisonment, which was seen by observers as a way to intimidate and silence journalists to prevent them from exposing Israeli violations in the occupied territories.
