JERUSALEM, August 7, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem demolished on Tuesday an apartment in a building in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Shufat, according to local sources.

They said the municipality claimed the apartment owner did not have a building permit.

Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem say they are forced to build without permit because getting on is almost impossible from the Israeli municipality for political and demographic reasons while the municipality and the state build tens of thousands of housing units in dozens of illegal Jewish settlements built over the years on expropriated Palestinian land.
