RAMALLAH, August 6, 2018 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah met at his office in Ramallah on Monday with the Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Marie Eriksen where they discussed the latest political and economic developments.
Hamdallah stressed the importance of convening an international peace conference to make sure that the Palestinian issue will not turn from an issue of people fighting for their rights to a humanitarian case.
He said an economic track not running simultaneously with a political track that would guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people in return and self-determination will not have any chance of success.
He stressed that any international aid for projects in Palestine should be channeled through the government.
He also demanded that pressure should be exerted on Israel to lift its 12-year-long siege on Gaza.
