Israeli forces detain 13 Palestinians from East Jerusalem, West Bank

 

JERUSALEM, April 10, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday detained a total of 13 Palestinians during multiple overnight raids in occupied East Jerusalem and in the West Bank, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Israeli police raided the East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Eissawiya, detaining four Palestinians after storming their homes.

In a subsequent raid into Sur Baher, southeast of Jerusalem, police detained three Palestinians, namely former prisoner Obeida Amira and two of his uncles. Amira’s uncles were reportedly assaulted with clubs and taser guns before being detained.

Soldiers also detained a Palestinian during a raid into the town of Hizma, east of Jerusalem.

Soldiers detained two Palestinians after breaking into their family homes in Beit Rima village, northwest of the central West Bank district of Ramallah.

PPS said another Palestinian was detained from Ramallah district.

In the southern West Bank, forces conducted a raid in Hebron city, detaining a former prisoner after ransacking his family home.

PPS said another Palestinian was detained from Jericho district in the Jordan Valley.
