Settlers chop down olive trees and assault farmer in Nablus-area villages

 

NABLUS- March 13, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers chopped down on Tuesday olive trees and assaulted a farmer in Nablus-area villages, according to a Palestinian official.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the north of West Bank, said that settlers from the illegal Eli settlement chopped down more than 15 olive trees in Qaryut owned by Ahmad Abdullah, while settlers from the illegal Elon More settlement uprooted olive trees in Deir al- Hatab, to the north of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Meanwhile, settlers from the illegal Yitzhar settlement attacked Mohammad Najjar with stones while ploughing his land in Burin, south of Nablus, causing damage to his tractor. Najjar also sustained bruises.
