JERUSALEM, March 11, 2018 (WAFA) – Clashes erupted last night after Israeli settlers assaulted a number of children in the neighborhood of Silwan in occupied East Jerusalem, according to witnesses.
Settlers assaulted a group of children at Batn al-Hawa Street, provoking clashes with local Palestinian citizens. An Israeli Border Guard Police force later arrived at the scene and fired teargas canisters and stun grenades to disperse the angry Palestinian protesters.
Israeli settler organizations have been continually trying to take over many homes and Arab property in the area, claiming that the land were these homes are built belonged to Jewish organizations and individuals prior to 1948.
