RAMALLAH, March 10, 2018 (WAFA) – Two people were killed and 197 injured in 239 traffic accidents in the West Bank last week, a police report said on Saturday.
It said three of the injured were in critical condition, 13 moderate and 181 light.
Police said it inspected 7381 vehicles last week and ordered 285 cars off the road for safety reasons. Police also cited 3867 vehicles for traffic violation, impounded 205 vehicles to make sure they were legal and destroyed 299 illegal vehicles.
Police, meanwhile, said they destroyed 175 illegal vehicles in the Hebron area alone and in just five hours on Saturday.
