JERUSALEM, March 9, 2018 (WAFA) – For the sixth consecutive Friday, thousands of Palestinian worshipers from al-Issawiya neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem performed Friday prayers in the open in protest about the unjust policies of the Israeli authorities in the city.
Worshipers gathered at the main entrance to the neighborhood and performed Friday prayers there in protest about the Israeli occupation’s unjust policies, on top of which are the continuing home demolitions, heavy and unreasonable taxation, raids and searches of homes, and almost daily arrests of Palestinians from the neighborhood.
Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Supreme Islamic Council in Jerusalem, led the Friday sermon and prayers and called on the worshipers for more steadfastness and unity in the face of the unjust Israeli practices.
