Israel seizes Palestinian land near Nablus for settlement road

NABLUS, February 28, 2018 (WAFA) – Israel seized on Wednesday 24 dunums of lands belonging to the village of Burin, to the south of the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank in order to open a road for a settlement, according to a local activist.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, told WAFA that Israeli forces seized the land to open a road for Jewish settlers that leads to the illegal Israeli settlement of Har Brakha to the east of the village.

He added that the decision threatens dozens of dunums of agriculture lands and movement to and from the village, which is surrounded by Jewish settlements, which makes it impossible for the village to expand to accommodate population growth.
