Israeli forces detain sixth grader in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, February 25, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday detained a Palestinian sixth grader in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, said a local activist.

Ahmad Salah, Coordinator of the Popular Anti-Wall and Settlement Committee in al-Khader, said Israeli soldiers detained 12-year-old Yousif Ghnaim, after chasing him as he left Said Al-Ass elementary school in the town.

Forces reportedly intercepted students while they were on their way home from school and fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades towards them, spurring clashes with locals. No injuries were reported.
